Prior to working with the Diversity Awareness Partnership, Reena was the Interim Executive Director of the Interfaith Partnership/Faith Beyond Walls.  Carroll holds a Masters Degree in social work from Washington University's George Warren Brown School of Social Work with an emphasis on social and economic development.  Currently, she serves on several boards in the St. Louis community including Washington University’s Brown School of Social Work Alumni Board, Children’s Hospital Community Advisory Board, the Young Non-Profit Professional’s Advisory Board, and the Living Insights Center. 

In addition to her formal board involvement, she serves on a host of task forces and awards committees.  Prior to moving to St. Louis more than six years ago, she lived in Los Angeles and Chicago where she gained valuable experience working with youth and community organizations.  Reena is the recipient of the St. Louis Business Journal’s Inclusive Leader Award, Bank of America’s Local Hero Award and the Brown School of Social Work’s Distinguished Alumni Award. Additionally, she is a graduate of the
CORO Women in Leadership Program.


Contact Abby Raesly, Communications and Outreach Manager

Abby develops communications tools, manages public relations and assists with events and programming. Prior to being named Communications and Outreach Manger in 2010, Raesly graduated with a B.S. in Public Relations from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Raesly currently serves as Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee on the YNPN Board of Directors.

As a student, Abby served as the Public Relations and Marketing Intern at the Saint Louis Art Museum and was an active member of Public Relations Student Society of America. Raesly also founded an organization called Student Union for Racial Equality on SIUE's campus and served as the Communications Coordinator.

Contact Erika Wright, Program and Training Manager

Erika coordinates program planning as well as co-designs, co-develops and administers diversity training. Since graduating from Morgan State University in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in English, Erika has managed a number of educational initiatives both nationally and internationally.  As a returned Peace Corps Volunteer and an experienced program coordinator/facilitator, Wright brings a unique perspective to diversity discussions and diversity program development. Wright has worked for organizations including the
Annie E. Casey Foundation and Central States SER.

 

Contact Rutvik Patel, Social Work Intern

Rutvik Patel is Social Work Intern and Graduate Student at Washington University in St. Louis Brown School of Social Work.  Rutvik graduated from Stony Brook University in New York receiving a Bachelor Degree in Psychology.  Before moving to St. Louis to attend Wash U, Rutvik worked with various non-profit agencies helping with capacity building as an AmeriCorp VISTA in New York.
