One of the St. Louis region's greatest assets is the diversity of our residents, which includes individuals of many faiths. The Diversity Awareness Partnership's One Community, Many Faiths effort aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of the many faiths represented in our region and show that religious diversity enriches the lives of those that live, work and pray in our community. In addition, One Community, Many Faiths provides a learning opportunity for people of all faiths by making available the following FREE resources to the community:
- the 2010 Calendar of Religious Observances, which highlights the many religious holidays recognized by the citizens of our community. Employers are encouraged to use this valuable resource as a reminder of various religious holidays observed by employees. Teachers may find this calendar an effective tool for recognizing the many holidays observed by students while identifying opportunity for objective instruction about particular cultures;
- the St. Louis Interfaith Directory provides contact information to connect individuals with the many faiths represented in our region; and
- the One Community, Many Faiths poster highlights many of the faiths represented in our community.
